How to Ask for Help

Our community is full of smart, creative people who would love to help you with your virtual music questions. However, if you want to get targeted and useful advice you’ll need to help them help you. Here’s some tips for how you can do that.

  1. Search Before Posting
If someone has already asked your question, it’s possible that your answer is already available here. Use the search function in the upper right to search relevant keywords.

  2. Include a Useful Topic Title
Something like “Audio out of sync with video in Adobe Premiere” or “How should I introduce new music virtually?” are descriptive. “Virtual choir problem!” is not.

  3. Share Important Details…
What type of project are you working on? How many people are involved? What software are you using? What is your overall goal? Are you looking for advice or looking to hire help? Answers to basic questions like these will get a lot of the guesswork out of the way and help target answers to your specific needs.

Follow these guidelines and post away! We look forward to helping make your projects successful.
